Once you reach out, I will send you a form to fill out. It is an extensive form for good reason, my aim is to build a site that fits you and your brand. We would then have a discovery call to discuss the build after which I will make a few suggestions, outline any third-party costs and provide an estimate for any additional capabilities you need built. Please note that in order to accept your project, you must have a full brand including colour palette, logo, sub marks and font style (including font files where applicable). If you don’t have this then I can provide a branding quote on request.

This is frequently asked but until I know what you need, it is impossible to answer accurately. To give an idea, a web design package for business (5 pages) will take 2-4 weeks. This assumes you already have a complete brand. If branding is also required, it will take an additional 2-3 weeks. Yes, there is a lot of work involved!

In short, no. It's likely that I'll add a certain amount of custom code to your site to enhance the aesthetic, improve the user experience and make your site stand out from the standard Squarespace templates. However, I know that you'll want to manage this site without my help, hence I limit the amount of code used on frequently updated sections. If you would prefer for me not to use any code then please let me know so we can discuss alternative options.

That’s okay, it’s actually an assumption I make. You don’t need any experience with Squarespace, not only are there Squarespace tutorials and an amazing help centre, but I also provide an entire training and handover section in the backend of your website that only you can see. These videos outline important information about your site and how to make basic amendments, allowing you to hit the ground running independently as soon as the handover is complete.

It’s simple - my clients love them! During my coding and UX design journey, I dabbled with other Content Management Systems (CMS) such as Wordpress, but Squarespace won hands down for brochure websites and Shopify for e-commerce due to their reliability, help centre, online tutorials, visual design tools and beautiful aesthetics. The really great thing about them are the intuitive interfaces - meaning clients find it easy to manage their own website once its built (not having to rely on a web designer for every word or image change).

Not at the moment. I can use other systems but choose not to. I like to focus on knowing everything I can about Squarespace and it’s integrations in order to provide the best service to my clients. Currently this means I only design in Squarespace although this may change in the future.

No. I’m not a Graphic Designer, nor do I pretend to be. I am a web and user-experience (UX) designer. In order to work with me, you will need branding for your business. Not with me, once the website is built there are no maintenance fees and should be no need for me to get involved unless you want me to. The point of these sites is that you can manage them yourself (should you wish to). There will be monthly fees for your Squarespace account and any additional capabilities you require (e.g. marketing emails, booking software, ecommerce etc). You will also have to pay for your domain name registration and hosting. Feel free to contact me for more information about estimated costs for your business.

I've never had this happen, likely because of the time I take researching your business, brand, target audience and likes and dislikes. I also offer two rounds of revisions so that we can work out any aspects you want to change.

If you feel we aren't a good fit after the discovery phase (where we discuss your requirements) I will not charge for ongoing work. Once the work has commenced, I don’t offer refunds. You can cancel the project at any time, however you will be responsible to pay for any hours already worked.
